Wildlife Worldwide held an on line wildlife photos critique by Mark Carwardine recently and this photo was one he chose to review. It was taken in St Ignacio lagoon (Mexico) where it is possible to interact with the friendly grey whales. This is a youngster (with Mum behind) and you can clearly see the baleen in his/her mouth. Mark pointed out at the hand on the right hand side is an integral part of the picture. It was taken with a GoPro camera which has a wide angle lens - hence the curved horizon.
